The safety and wellbeing of young people is our absolute top priority.
Young people first
Scouts is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. We expect all adults involved in Scouting to share this commitment and to follow our safeguarding policies and procedures.
Our commitment
1st Forres Scout Group follows The Scout Association's safeguarding policies, which are regularly reviewed and updated. All our adult volunteers:
- Hold a current PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) disclosure
- Complete mandatory safeguarding training
- Follow The Scout Association's Yellow Card guidelines
- Are appointed through a formal recruitment process including references
- Undergo regular reviews and re-training
Reporting concerns
If you have any safeguarding concerns about a young person involved in Scouting, or about the behaviour of an adult in Scouting, please contact:
